Lexus LS model and year: 1991 LS400
Wheel Make & Model: Work VS-KF
Wheel Size (diameter and width): 18x8 all around
Wheel Offset Front: +38-25mm spacer = +13
Wheel Offset Rear: +26-15mm spacer = +11
Camber Front: -2.1
Camber Rear: -4.4
Tire Make and Model: Kumho All Season Cheapos
Tire Size Front: 235/45/18 (big tire, no stretchage)
Tire Size Rear: 235/45/18 (big tire, no stretchage)

Suspension mods: Heated springs till coilovers come
Amount of drop: enough to tuck tire.

I rolled my fenders and got some bodywork done up front. Out back it rubs a little on bumps but i banged out my quarters with a rubber mallet. did the trick.

have you had problem driving low with the front wheels raping the fenders when you turn and the suspension compresses?

ehhh... yeah but its not unbareable. since the setup is so inaccurate it rubs a bit more on the driverside (or it could be due to thats where im sitting)
but it doesn't hit the fenders on bumps anymore only in turns. it DID hit the fender on bumps as of Sunday but since i just left the shop last night its good to go.

I cant wait to get some Megan's though thats fer shur.

Knonimous, did you personally roll your fenders or did you have someone else do it? I'm primarily having trouble locating an Eastwood roller. Nobody around here has one/rents them.

Hmm, you're running a 235 series tire with 8" width and experiencing rubbing. That makes me worry that much more about having an 8.5" wheel/245 tire and trying to get around the clearance issues with that.

Until I can get my fenders rolled, my Megans are collecting dust

well with the rear quarters i hammered them out and rolled with a pipe. that left just enough room to not scrub all the time. i borrowed my friends Eastwood roller to do the fronts though. but i would advise you not to do it if you dont know what you're doing. I'm not gonna lie, I did NOT know what i was doing
lol. so fortunately i have people that helped me correct my mistakes. the car is being painted today so maybe later down the road i will be paying a local shop to roll the rear and if i need the quarters painted again so be it.
but for now the little "roll" that i did in the rear sufficed. now i know i can probably run +10 out back and +10 up front with a smaller tire.

in reference to you're 245 on an 8.5 i think that is a bit much. i'm not sure what exact theme you're going for but i would put a slightly smaller profile on it. i personally would attempt to run a 225/40 but that's me. i havent a problem with a miniscule stretch. but some people are afraid of even a hair of stretch.

this is a 215/35/18 on an 18x8. this is what i'd be going for if i still have these wheels.

this is a 225/45/18 on an 18x10. so you can get a feel for how very LITTLE stretch the 225 would do on your 8.5

Hmmm. I suppose my only option is to spend the $150+ and get my fenders rolled and see what I have to play with. And it'll probably have to be an online rental since nobody around here has one.

If all else fails and a fender roll doesn't fix it, I'm either going to a) suck it up and live with it as is and sell the Megans or b) wait until the tires need replaced and put a 225 series tire on it and see if that does it. And since I just put them on last week...could be a while.

FML

Anyway, here's some pics:

Before:

After: 20" x 8.5" MRR GT1s all the way around

And a shot to show front offset/trouble area:

you wont have a problem-if you do, just cut the fenders...problem solved!

been lurking this fourm for abit for info on wheel fitment didn't want to make a new topic since alot of wheel fitment info can be found in this thread. might as well add to it. so i know u can do 19x9 front, 19x10 in rear for 95 -00 ls 400. what offsets would be best for a mild aggersive flush fit? the rims im looking at are Wlad Duchatlet 3pc F 19x9 +24 , 19x10 +37, with these offset would they look good on the car? would u have to roll the fenders to make them fit? last what u guys think of the wald Duchatlet 3pc on the ls 400 ?

fronts will be nice and flush, will need a roll/shave and maybe a mild pull depending on tire size. a somewhat aggressive fitment

rears will be conservative, a 20mm spacer will help get you started in the right direction (with a roll/shave and mild stretch) without spacers not very aggressive at all.

i know wat a roll is, wat are u doing whne your shaving and pulling? in my mind this is wat i think it is, after rolling teh fenders would u be cutting that piece u rolled? and for pulling are u just pulling the fender outwards a lil bit or u hammer it out?

Some guys shave their fenders 'instead' of rolling them (personal preference). Lots of different ways to 'pull' your fenders but the way I know how to is to use the Eastwood fender roller and once your fenders are rolled flat keep on adding pressure. You'd have to use the Eastwood fender roller to really understand.
