I performed some work which required disconnecting the battery for more than a few hours then discovered that my air bag warning light would not go out after starting and driving the car. After searching the forums I found instructions for resetting a '92 LS, and followed them, without good results. I read a few posts where the posters warned that the procedure for one year model may not be applicable to any others. My LS is a "91. Anyone able to help?

Well, I have to look at all of this as a quick course educational experience with this new (to me) LS. I followed the instructions for resetting the warning lamp, but my repeated attempts were unsuccessful. Eventually I realized that the warning lamp was flashing in a pattern of 3 quick flashes-pause-one flash. I'm guessing that it indicates a Code 31 fault. If my assumption is correct I take it this is a "center air bag sensor fault". My next problem is that I don't know where this sensor is located, nor how to troubleshoot and rectify the problem when I find it.

Once again -- Help!

Sorry to say, investigation on the "center airbag sensor" suggests this may be a dealer replacement task. It may be expensive.

I believe it is located in the dash.
