1995 Ls400
I'm considering purchasing a 1995 LS400 with 190,000 miles on it. Would appreciate any comments on the questions below.
1. The owner claims it has "positraction" differential. I don't see anything listed about this in the differences between model years post. He said this is different then the TRAC option
2. Is the transmission and engine significantly different beteen 95 and the 93/94 ?
3. Besides the expected maintenance, anything I should be worried about with 190,000 miles ? As in engine or transmission rebuild, CV's wearing out, etc ?
4. I've heard the TRAC option generally does not cause maintenance problems. Any additional comments ? If it does fail can it be bypassed ?
I presently own a 1993 LS400 and do all all of my own work.
Thanks for any comments Herm

1-no such thing, LS400 was NEVER even offered w/any sort of LSD or "traction diff. most likely he just didnt want to say it didnt have traction control.
2-motor is about 10hp up and trans is different (all better
, translates into a much more alive feeling motor)
3-CA bushings, Strut/trailing arm bushings, shocks (A/S is a nono) and the rest should be fine as long as regular maintainance was performed.
4-trac on the 95+ doesnt normally have any issues, if it does then its mostly similar to the trac issues on the UCF10/11 but much rarer.
