Default JDM headlights!?

I own a 93 LS, and I'm in the process of buying some JDM Celsior headlights...I read in a prior post that the beam pattern is setup for right hand drive style.....but there wasn't much verification of this statement..

ANYBODY KNOW WHATS UP??

Thanks in advance.

[PureDrifter, I already searched...Mr. Always so quick with the "go search" responses...lol]

What you've heard is correct, they are set up for right hand drive.

So.....should I take them to Lexus and have them align them properly....or is it a simple DIY task?

I'm installing 6000K HID's tommorrow into my regular headlights...and when I get the JDM's in I'm gonna swap them over...

Did you re-align your beam pattern, EXE? Or does it not really matter with HIDs?

u know the whole deal between the 9006 harness and the H4 needed in the JDM housing right?

oh, and just mess with the alignment until the drivers light is a LITTLE bit lower than the passenger light when projected on a wall ~15-20 feet away.

9006? I thought the Celsior used an H4 just like my 93 LS does?

I recall Slow13GS or w/e had to sell his JDM's because he has a 91 and the 90-92 use 9004...but 93 uses 9003, am I wrong?

So I'm gonna have to ghetto rig the harness for a 9006???? This is news to me!! nooooooo

lol, oops, my mistake, i thought u had a UCF10.

your UCF11 should have H4s (9003) standard so no conversion harness necessary.

You thought right. You won't be needing to do any conversions to the harness, so don't worry.

Yes, I re-aligned mine myself. There's no need to take it into the dealer to have the headlights re-aligned, it's a simple DIY. All you need is a screwdriver (preferably a power screwdriver) and a wall.

The grey screw directly under the black screw circled in green is the one you use to adjust your headlight aim higher or lower.

Awesome! I'm about to order them right now then! wooohooo.

Only fall back now is I hear on the 93's when you install HIDs you lose the fog, for whatever weird reason that is...I coulda swore they were both independent...hmm, oh well...I'm sure I won't need them with the HIDs

Thanks a lot EXE & Drifter! I love this place, such quick intelligent responses!

Hmm.....let me go try to search for independent fogs issue...

If I can't find it, help me out with it PD.

Dennis, you're basically gonna have to wire a H4 (9003) harness into the current 9004 you have, because the 90-92 (UCF10) LS used 9004, and the 93 (UCF11) used 9003 (H4).

Oh yea...you'll also have to win an auction like this

Nice, Brand! Did you have to do alot of adjusting to offset the whole right hand - left hand drive thing? Or was it a walk in the park?
