Hello,
I drive a 1990 LS400 with 89,000 miles and recently I've had a problem with the driver's side sun visor. The mechanism that holds it up has worn out, and now it won't stay up reliably. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

 

The same thing happened twice to the driver side sun visor on the 90 LS I had for 183K miles and 13+ years. I did not fix it myself but had a repair shop replace the visor.

I thought it was interesting that the vinyl on the second replacement visor starting deteriorating rather quickly after it was installed -- I suspected that it had been manufactured 12-13 years earlier and had been sitting on a shelf in some warehouse.
