question about **** under dash

i just got a 93 400 ls great car but i dont have book on to show where everything is the question is under the dash by steerinfg wheel thers a a thing that says daingtics i know what that is but next that theres a **** whats is that for any help thx

You probably are referring to the **** that controls the volume of the beeps you hear when you lock and unlock your car.
