Default ls 430 auto side view mirror fold in

Hi all
newb here and I'm very imppresed with all the cars in this forum. I have a 01 ls430 and I noticed the passenger side view mirror gets stuck coming in and only fold only partially. Is this a common issue and is there a do it yourself cure for this? Also any suggestions on parts etc would be appreciated.

Thanks

Default LS 430 auto side mirror fold-in

I have an 04 LS 430 and the passenger mirror did the same thing. It then started to miss the regular position and fold back towards the front up against the car. The dealer replaced the mirror under warranty. The cost of the mirror charged to Lexus was around $750. This did not include labor. The dealer said it was an internal short in the mirror.
