Default Streaky plastic on '99 Ls400

Hi guys. on my '99 LS 400, i seem to have this streaky look to the plastic that covers the speedometer. It almost looks like someone tried to clean it with windex or something and it left streaks behind. However, no matter how much i clean it, the streaks remain. I have noticed this on some other 98-00 LS's as well. Does anyone know what is causing this or what I can do to fix this?

You may look into using one of those headlight type cleaner/polishes but check first before doing this. Although many lenses these days are a composite plastic, these may differ than the plastic used inside. Ask this in the detailing section.

I noticed this problem doesn't exist just on Lexus', but rather any car with a plastic instrument cluster cover.

Try Plastic X, or replace that peice. They sell it alone for about 20 or 25 bucs.
