Check Engine & TRAC
on my 91 LS, when I start the car up i have just started getting a Check Engine, TRAC, And TRAC-OFF lights. If I let it run for a little, stop & start the engine, the CE and TRAC-OFF lights go off - consistently. Sometimes, the TRAC goes off too.
I jumpered the ecu connection and got and Code 41 - which is TPS. No other codes.
I just want to make sure I've got one problem and not two here - is this normal (CE and TRAC) for a TPS problem?
Ordering a new tps tomorrow.

and when u install it make sure car is off turn to acc on and i dont remember witch wire but make sure 1 of them is at .8 v

I have this same issue with my 91. BUt now when the check engine light comes on, my RPMs act all funny, like its shifting properly, so I tired turning the OD off, and it doesnt come up as much as if the OD was on. yet it still comes on. With the Trac light, well, that stays on about 75% of the time. I need to scan it asap cause both lights are driving me nuts!

New TPS did it.
From Steve Ganz - 72 + shipping. Ebay has a bunch of used ones out there.
I got mine from a buddy who works at a Toyota dealership - same price, no shipping.
Easy to install. Followed the "alternate" directions from LEXLS.com and it worked great for me.
Now to figure out what's wrong with the front AC Fans.
