Default PS new air control valve?

Hello,

I just went to the Lexus Dealer to get the parts to rebuilt the PS pump on my dads 92 LS400. I ordered the gasket set and the spring. I also wanted to order the air control valve but the dealer told me there are 6 or 7 different valves. I need to take out the valve to see which one I got. I dont want to take everything apart to see which valve I wil need and wait a couple of days for the part while I cant use the car. Is it possible to take out the valve without taking the pump out?

Chris

The air control valve part number for my 93 LS is 17630-16040. I am not sure if the 92 uses the same number, but I would guess it would.

Yes, the air control valve can be unscrewed from the bottom of the pump assembly without removing the pump.
