Default Power ECT

When the Power ECT button is pushed in, doesn't that give the car more of a sporty shift? How much of a difference does it make in acceleration?

No one knows exact figures. Because, when you floor it, the ECU maps the same procedure, whether you have PWR on or not. So you would have to test at partial throttle, which is even harder to calculate.

It makes a good bit of difference in both my LSs, even under medium throttle. It tranny is more responsive in downshifting. However, it is definitely more pronounced on the 92 versus the 95.

I notice the biggest diff when in a rush. If I am need to really hustl either in city or highway traffic i swith it to power. it give me faster throttle repsone, faster shifing, and shift at higher RPM. the one main diff is the trottle reponse. You can test this very easily. Go one the highway and cruise at 60mph or whatever speed. Leave the switch on normal and just light pulse the throttle up and down. You will feel on a slight accelration and decelration. Now go back to a steady speed and stich it to power and pulse the throttle, now you will get a more dramatic accleration and decelation. It very easy to feel at highway speeds. In the city it hard to feel but it does work. When i am driving to meet my wife for lunch i usually hustle getting there inorder to spend more time with her. I put in on Power and drive a little quicker trying to beat some lights. On the way back to work I could care less how long it takes and I swith back to normal and just cruise in smooth luxery.
