engine replacement?

i just had my replacement priced today and for a brand new 1uzfe and labor would be 4800-5000 total. im not doing it yet its on the plan to do right before i supercharge it.

HIGHLY doubt that price is for a brand spankin' new 1UZ motor since the short block alone was listed at ~$9500 last time i checked toyota's part system....


but u can get 98+1UZ from a GS400 (thats ~290hp w/vvt-i) for around 2500 from ebay.

or just go 2jz swap...

yea im sorry it was for a remanufatcured, so its basically brand new just a used cleaned block.

I would like to get an idea of what the labor cost is for an engine replacement.

I don't anticipate needing one any time soon since I am at 193,042.

when the quoted me it was 26 hours of labor at i dunno what to a grand total of 1800 for the completed replacement, but when i get it replaced if anyone wants my engine your welcome to it only 145,000 right now.
