Wheels for 2000 LS400
I am currently in the process of buying wheels for my car, I have a 2000 LS400 (silver). I am looking at one of these wheels, can you tell me which would look better on the car. I am really torn between the two
1. OEM 18" LS430 5 - spoke wheels (silver)
2. ASA 18" ST3 5 - spoke (silver or chrome)
The two wheels look similar except the ASA ST3 have narrower spoke than the OEM. Please help me decide.
Also I am looking to sell my current 16" wheels with Dunlop 5000 Sport tires (about 5k miles on them), what can I expect to sell them for.
Thanks

Two members (me and Brian S) have recently put these two on their 98+ LSs... I assume you've seen the pictures to decide. I think the LS430 wheels I have would look better on my LS if they were not chrome.... of the two pictured I think I like Brian's better. BUT I also think the OEM wheels will stand up to abuse better than the ASAs and that was a consideration for me.

I do like chrome, but will probably get silver because I want to use the wheels all year round, I live in NJ/NYC. As for what I prefer it really depends on the car and the color of the car, I guess with my car being silver either will be fine. Right now I can get either one of the following
1. Silver 18" OEM LS430
2. Silver 18" ASA ST3
3. Chrome 18" ASA ST3
Which do you think

Well you know where to get the chrome ASA from
I live in Boston which has the same weather. Chrome can easily be maintained with a coat of car wax and regular washing with car wash soap that has wax in it.
As for finding Stock polished Ls430 oem 18" You'll never find any one selling them or willing to give them up. The metallic polish finish is hard to replicate for co's selling knock offs. They are extremely rare. I ended up buying them from lexus-parts.com
Personally polished wheels look the best for black cars over chrome. Chrome looks good for white cars and light colored paints. That is why I went with polished over chrome.
Both styles are have the open look. Make sure you treat the parts of the rotors untouched by the brake pads with anti rust or hi temp paint. Rusty rotors really take away from the whole look.

One of these days I'll paint the rotor hubs and either sandblast or paint the calipers.

If I were obsessed, I'd take a rotary tool and clean up the whole thing...
