Default Suspension question

All I have a question regarding my suspension. I have had my car for about 5 months now and it is great but have noticed a cluking noise during braking, but only during slow speed (about 5-15 mph). There is no noise when I am driving anything above that. I also hear a clukinh noise (not load at all, but still there) when I go over certain bumps (large or sharp), especially when city driving. I did search this site extensively and it looks like it could be my lower control arm. Can you guys give me your opinion.

Also if it is where can I get the part and about how much does it cost.

Thanks
AGC

Depending on road conditions, it may be the strutbar bushing. Mine began at 59K miles while others don't have that issue till 100K miles or such. Could be other things but the strut bars are common as per my discussions with several dealership service techs/writers.

Look to spend about $350 for parts, install and alignment if it is the strut bars.
www.lexus-parts.com had the better prices for the strut bars when I bought mine. They are also a CL vendor.

Thanks RA40,

I also spoke to a lexus www.lexus-parts.com and www.l-tunedparts.com. They suggested the strut bar first, if it does not cure it then try the lower control arm. I will be ordering the parts on Monday. I asked about price and got $90 from one place and $50 from the other (listed above). Can anyone help me with part numbers for these strut bars, both left and right

BTW, I have a 2000 LS400 with only 37k miles

Thanks

Periodically part #'s may be updated due to production changes or modifications. If you put in an order, they will have the current listing and cross reference for them.
