1990LS400 Odometer Quit working

The gears are stripped. The one in the 90 LS I used to have was replaced at 125,000 miles when it started to make a lot of noise. At least it was fairly cheap to get replaced - don't remember exactly how much but I think it was around $100 in the late 90's for the part and labor. It is a very simple looking part.

Thanks did you have to take it to the dealer or who fixed it?

The odometer was replaced by an independent repair shop specializing in Lexus and owned and staffed by former Lexus dealer employees. Very lucky to have this shop in Kansas City.
The odometer must be fairly easy to replace since the cost was fairly low. I still have the old one in the box that the new one came in so I guess I'm a packrat.
