98LS400 Performance product help
As I am also fairly new to this forum I will let some of the others answer your questions more thoroughly. There are a few LS owners interested in the same type of modifications, unfortunately the products are limited. I intend to upgrade wheels, tires, shocks, springs, exhaust and eventually go with the torque converter offered by SRT. Your best bet is to search through the older threads in this forum as well as the GS and SC forums to find products available and links to those products. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I'm sure Loule, Jbrady, and a few others will reply soon. Again, welcome to the club.

Congrats on your new car. I also have a '98 LS400 and intend to do some modifications. There is a lot of useful information on this site.
1) Take a look under 'Lexus Q&A'. That has a lot of good information.
2) On this forum, look for a thread called 'Who wants more POWER?'. That has a lot of good chat going through.
3) Take a look at 'www.SwiftRacing.com' (Swift Racing Technology or SRT for short). While most of their current equipment is for a GS400 they have several LS 400 mods coming down the line. (NOTE: Most people on this site are biased toward SRT as being the best mods out there for a Lexus. I am no different
)On a side note, have you taken your car to a drag strip yet to get numbers? I haven't and was curious to see if anyone had.

I don't know much of mod for the 98 but Jbrady has a 97 and he might can help.
This is what I know though:
1) SRT is coming out with a air intake/ECU for the 98 and up models soon.
2) You can always stick a SRT TC in for better acceleration.
3) You can always lower them with some Tein Ha coilovers or Tokico shocks and Eibach springs for better handling.
4) Magnacore wires, Jacob electronics, and some other companies make silicon wires for the LS
5) The only exhaust I know of made for the 98 LS and up and is state legal is by Lsportline
6) You can always make your own air intake like many others with add on heat shields.
7) If you really want to go extreme, there is a supercharger for $7000 (not sure if this fits the 98-up).
Sorry I can't help much.
Maybe Jbrady knows more.
