Default Anyone changed their trac accumulator hose?

Hi All

I have a 1991 LS400 with trac light coming on about half the time. Code 19. Loss of accumulator pressure. I have already bled the system.

I see from earlier posts that some have mentioned replacing the hose and o-rings from the accumulator to the pump. I would like to try this before replacing my accumulator.

Does anyone know what the part number is for this hose and o-ring kit for a 91 LS400. Has anyone changed it on a first gen LS and can give some tips or steps to replacing?

Thank you for any help.

Hello,

I have exactly the same error in my 92 LS, the system was bleeded several times. I ordered all the hoses from the brakefluid reservoir tank. The parts were not listed in the computer. They were never ordered before in Germany. It is now four or five weeks ago i ordered the parts. Are accumulator and actuator the same part?
The actuator price is over 3000$ over here. The actuator is located on the left side of the power steering pump.

The accumulator is located right next to your brake fluid reservoir. The actuator is a different part located underneath the air cleaner duct.

My understanding is that there is a hose similar to a brake line that runs from the accumulator to the ABS/Trac pump. The pump is right next to the accumulator, however, the hose is located on the bottom side of both of these units and is very difficult to see without disassembling. I really didn't want to start disassembling until I had the replacement hose and o-ring kit on hand.

I was hoping to have a part number for it before ordering because I fear that if I tried to describe this on email or over the phone that some parts guy may not get the right part, due to it not being very common.

Alldata lists a part number and price for the accumulator:
OEM # 4797050012
$543.68

They do not list the hose and o-ring kit though.

Since my code 19 only states a problem with the accumulator loss of pressure, I have not considered replacing the actuator at all.

Hello,

I also ordered the hose at the Lexus dealer. Why did yo also switch the accumulator and not just test the new hose? Keep me posted if your problem is really solved.

Still no trac light. Everything is good.

I wasn't having any luck locating just the pressure hose. HoyFox website seemed the most thorough regarding parts and I wasn't finding it on there either. When I ordered the accumulator, I just attached a note in the comments section saying that if they happen to have this pressure hose and o-ring kit that I would like it as well. I was surprised when it arrived that it was in with my order.

In hindsight I should have called and talked with someone and maybe I could have just gotten the hose and o-rings, but it's done now and I am just really happy that it is fixed.

I would be curious to know though if just replacing the pressure hose and o-rings fixes it for you. Keep us posted.

Wow, I am reviving a old dead thread. But any-who, my LS is having ishues like OP. Code 19 triggers after about 1-2 min of driving. Has anyone ever just fixed the hose and O-ring insted of replacing it?

Also, I am having an ishue with studdering acceleration in lower RPMs. Some times when just crusing also. I don't know if this has anything to do with the code 19 or not. To me it seams like the TRAC control system is kicking in when it shouldn't. Exspeashly when I turn the TRAC off.

BTW, I know that this was discused in much more recent threds but I did a search and this came up. Also, I'm not gona search for hours while standing in the hot sun. Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Same issue as well. 1991. I noticed that when its HOTTER outside the light will come on faster, but if it is COLDER outside the light may not come on, or take a lot longer to come on if it does.

Did anyone else notice this?
