Hey,
Now that I've got the tranny problem sorted out it's time for the next problem! When I'm under light acceleration at any speed (even on slow take off) the car surges/misses, it feels like a plug wire has been disconnected and it's not running on all 8 cylinders. This is only on very light acceleration though, if I push the accelerator any further down it clears up and accelerates just fine. Anyone experience this on their LS400?

Mine's a 92.

I had a similar problem with my 93 SC300 except that it would also surge at idle and the radio wouldn't play. In my case, it was the alternator (114k miles) that was gone. I believe that O2 sensors might cause a similar problem and your car has 4 of them (not cheap). Just some thoughts.

Well I got the LS running good again. I changed the plugs and wires out for a set from an SC400 we have here at work w/49k and that cleared it right up. Next up is the steering problem!
