Replacement Pads
Well I live in a fairly remote location, the nearest Lexus dealer being about 4 hrs drive from me and it's time to replace my brake pads. I can see they are getting to the point that I had better start preparing to change them.
I can do the job myself, I just want to get the right pads. I'd prefer to replace them with factory OEM as I've heard that anything else will be less than expected.
I take this for truth. What say Ye? Is that true or is there a replacement that is better?
I would also need to know if someone can direct me to who I need to call to get my replacements shipped to me. I know there are some referenced people here on CL that are friends and I'd like to spend my money with them.
Thanks for any help.

It's true, stick with OEM pads.
You can go through Steve Ganz @ Carson Toyota who is part of CL.

or a non CL vendor such as.....

www.lexus-parts.com or better call directly and ask for Darrel Diller and tell him you are a club lexus member and you will get 10% off your order. number is 214-353-2826. he's a good guy that knows what he's talking about. also, you have a piece of mind when you order from Darrel, cause you will get oem parts and no substitutes.

When did you replace them? So like how many miles do you have on them?
I just want to get some idea if you might have just put them on and havent got history on them or not.
Did you need to do anything special to put them on?
Did you turn the rotors?
Where did you get them?
Thanks,
Wes

additude, When replacing the pads you must install new anti vabration and shims and get them only from the dealer !................Raybestos makes a ceramic pad for lexus called the " QS " and you can buy them at any auto parts store.
