Haven't read all of it but looks like a good test. The LS came in second behind the Audio A8L

Not sure the online version of the road test was available previously, but I enjoyed reading the full test.
It seems that the LS430 was given poor marks in the MT and the C&D tests because of the "all season" tires. JMO
For those of us who live in the southern half of the U.S, and the good percentage of those who live a little farther north and use winter tires - we should find a good "summer" tire to raise the LS performance closer to the BMW/Mercedes numbers.

Testing an LS430 with Euro-Tuned Suspension would close any gaps IMHO.
ETS strikes a perfect balance between handling for fast sweeping curves/tight twisties and everyday ride quality.
I was conflicted at the start whether it was a mistake to be sacrificing legendary LS ride quality but after 6 months with the Euro car I have absolutely no regrets - soft suspension cars I have owned begin to get boring around 6-12 months by my LS makes me smile every time I push it hard.
I believe it needs sports car handling to complement it's sports car engine performance.
Of course the 18" wheels don't hurt either
