Do all Ls400's come with pinstripes?

 

No they don't, but they are popular with some people. I have them on my car. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.

 

I dunno how it is on Lexus/Toyota. On pops Saturn, it had pinstriping but over the years, it has worn off. Now it shows up as faint lines in certain locations. If it is under the clearcoat, no worries. If it is painted afterwards you'll eventually rub it out after a mumber of years of detailing.

 

yea, the pinstriping on my 92 ls400 is fading does anyone know what the process of getting it redone is? Like do they need to get it all off and repaint it or can they just touch up some areas?

 

If the stripe is 12 years old I would either have it compounded out or wet sanded out prior to having it redone.

Also, 99.9% of the time pin-stripping is aftermarket (regardless of the manufacture) and not a factory stripe. It's applied over the clear-coat after the car reaches a dealership. The dealer decides which car receives pin-stripping or the new owner requests having it pin-stripped while negotiating the deal.
