Wow! $550! I found much cheaper ones on eBay. A local auto leather and wood installer said he would charge $250. He's not very famous nationally, but his work is very good. I don't know if I really need all that in my car. I would raher get the HID conversion kit, personally if I were to spend that much.Originally posted by Raw4life

Don't know enough of the steering wheel differences on the LS models, but I know that the air bag and the wheel are 2 components that must be purchased separately. Air bag is the more critical and more expensive (at least $500), and you must find out if your car is built to allow connection of the air bag in question. You may however use air bags from other Lexus models (such as the RX, GS or ES) into your LS, as long as you can confirm that the air bag is the correct stage for your car.
There's definitely one certainty here: Don't use an air bag from a 3-spoke steering wheel to a 4-spoke one (or vice versa) as it won't match.

There is a chance that airbag connector may be uncompatible. And I personally wouldn't play with airbag connected to it....Originally posted by lexusk8

IMHO it's easier to buy 2nd hand steering wheel and replace it than buy another airbag assembly.
