Default Wood Shift ****?

I have a 96 LS 400. Does anyone know where to get an OEM matching wood shift **** (or near matching) for a good price? I can't seem to find any other than on lexus-parts.com and it's for $350 !
Any info appreciated!

I searched everywhere. A new OEM one would cost $300+, way too expensive. I'm willing to buy a used one in good condition. The good thing about Lexus is that the shift **** fits most (or all) other lexus'.

Default Also you can.

You might want to look for it in Cali, Im sure you can find it somewhere don't give up. Keep searching on the computer. Your only other chance is to buy aftermarket, and i take it thats not cool with you. The mark-up from the dealership is massive so i feel you. Don't settle until you get the price you wan't.

I'm still looking. I see some on eBay but the wood color doesn't match (I need burlwood) or the leather color doesn't match (I need tan/brown) or else the price is way too high (over $300, I'm looking for under $100, even if used).

Have you purchased anything from exotic wood dash? If so a few questions, 1. are the kits easy to apply, 2. do they match the OEM wood for gloss and finish and 3. how durable are they? I have used other aftermarket wood pieces and have found that they tend to come loose after a while. I am considering the kit for a 2004 LS 430.

Thanks in advance.

Lou, I don't own an LS, but I purchased an OEM wood dash kit from Exotic Wood Dash for my '01 ES300, and installed the pieces myself using the adhesive materials already packaged with the kit (took me about an hour to do the installation). After one harsh winter season and (almost) one hot/humid summer season, the wood trim pieces have held up nicely with no problems whatsoever

Did your car come with the wood steering wheel or did you install it after you got it?
I like the look on your car.

The wood steering wheel came with the car when I purchased it last year. Thanks for the compliments!

Figures.. I want to get the wood wheel, as well...
Does anyone know if the 98-00 steering wheel on the LS will fit the 95-97 model?

Talking Wood Shift ****?

I went to a car and bike show over the weekend in New York and stopped by a booth for a company called Woodtrim Warehouse Inc. Their website is www.woodtrimwarehouse.com and their phone number is 800-473-1838.
I have a 95' LS 400 and they quoted me $150 for the OEM match shift ****. I will purchase the shift **** next Friday. The samples they had on display seemed to be of good quality and craftmanship. They advised that the OEM match steering wheel was $550. There is a catch. If you do not provide them with your original steering wheel in exchange for theirs they charge you an addl $600 as a core charge. This is not a problem if you life in New York as you can drive there and exchange it the same day. For those of you out of state I'm sure you will have to go a few days without your car as you would have to send them your original wheel. You would have to contact them to see how this would work out.
I hope this helps.
