Default Above the LS

With talk of a car slated above the LS coming in the not too distant future, I was wondering what you all would like that car to be.

What would you want as far as content, looks, performance?

With luxury brands, it's important to be the best, no matter the cost. . .
So to answer the question, I'd hope the new flagship would be faster, smoother, better looking, etc than the competition. Whether or not Lexus will do that is another question. You see they are a business, and a smart one at that. High end models are not profitable, and high competitive. So it makes more sense as a business to sell more cometitive models at higher volumes. The only reason they'd do any of the above is to increase the appeal of the Lexus line. . . kind of like one big expensive marketing campaign. Lexus has generally been conservative with this kind of thing. But we can all hope.

Here is a list of things i would love to see Lexus do with an Ultra-Premium Sedan:

1. It needs to be offered in All-Wheel Drive
2. A supercharged 5.0 V8 engine producing at least 375HP
3. Hybrid technology incorporated to produce at least 35mpg
4. a stylish sleek aggressive body style. Not so rounded and feminine, more masculine-looking, with sharper edges.
5. more interior trim choices in addition to conventional wood. How about a smoke wood trim or an aluminun trim ? something different, not so old-ladyish.

i'm sure i'll think of more, but those are the main ones.

Own 2003 LS430.
Toyota should drop SC430, create a "CL 5.0", a luxury coupe, with 118 in. wheel base, 350 hp, 6 spd trans.,
standard (quite adequate) sound system, opt for/not satelite system! ($10 Rand-McNally will do), non-metalic colors of dark blue, red and black. Make the back seat options of massage, cooler, heat/cool a yes or no
What I'm saying here is " I want it my way" not McDonald's way!! flkey@earthlink.net

Americanize the Century, rework the 1GZ-FE to make 350-400hp, and make it more of a driver's car.

I'd like to see the Century on these shores too.

All Toyota has to do with the current 430 is work it like the S series flavors. Maybe lengthen the wheelbase to get a few more inches of leg room. Beyond that, I like the way it all comes together presently.

I am positive the new car will be a V-10 or V-12 with AWD standard. Since it's competition would be the V-12 Benz/s BMWs, it would be about at leat 200 inches long and I can only imagine how incredible.
