Unhappy Shake Rattle and Roll

My 97 Ls400, shakes when I brake. I know warped rotors right?? But it doesn't do it all the time. Sometimes it shakes at low speeds, sometimes not. It always happens at high speeds, when I first apply my brakes. For example highway offramps, I as I start to decel it shakes. As I apply more pedal it goes away.

I had a brake shop check the brakes I was told it was because the ceramic pads weren't upto temperature, common problem with Lexii. Should I ever go back to this guy. At least he didn't try to soak me for $$$$.

The shaking seems to be getting worse, and now I hear a clunk occasionally.

The cause of your trouble is most likely bent rotors. Even though your tire shop toled you that everything is OK, doesn't mean that it is the case. If I were you, I'd spring for 2 new rotors and a set of pads from a dealer. When it comes to rotors and pads, nothing beats dealer parts, unless you are planning to race.

This will solve your problem, assuming that your struts and front suspension bushings are in desent shape.
