Can that be done? The code I’m referring to is the 5 digit number on the plastic temporary key credit-card sized thing that is still in my owners manual packet.
Both of my original master keys are long gone. I have 3 valet keys that work fine but (obviously) don’t work in the glovebox or trunk.
I don't know if this site allows AI search replies. Mods, feel free to delete this post with my apologies.
In any event, according to a Grok search, the code embossed on the credit card key holder can be used to cut a new master key. It also mentions that the key code is also stamped on the passenger side door lock cylinder; the door panel has to be removed to access the number.

Yes you can use the key code from your card key / backup wallet key plaque to cut a new one. I've never done it before though, but I assume a locksmith that supports Lexus keys can do it as well as the dealer
The challenge will be matching the RFID chip in the key with the Engine Immobilizer code. Please post your outcome once you've solved this problem.
The FSM has 2 procedures for registering a new key, starting on page BE-241. The methods are:
1. By pressing the brake pedal and accelerator pedal, following the published procedure
2. Using Lexus handheld tester (Techstream)
