Default coolant gauge

where is the sender for the temp gauge located. standard auto part, t s 319 . temp gauge jumps almost to hot in minutes but engine is not hot

temp sensor for the cluster is located at the top middle of the motor (gray single-pin connector in the pic below).
the green connector is the coolant temp sensor for the ECU (full thread here).
