Drivers low beam - no power to socket
I am getting about 0.03 V at the low beam socket for the drivers side low beam light when I turn on the headlights, should be 12V. The 15 A fuse for the light is good. The high beams work. The passenger low beam works. When I turn the lights on I hear an audible click which seems to be coming from the headlight relay in the engine compartment fuse block, and I get 12V at the low beam fuses.
What am I missing? Could the relay still be faulty if the passenger light comes on but the drivers does not? I have the correct bulb in the socket - it was working 2 days ago. Now no power. Need help.

I am leaning towards a loose or broken wire as you suggest, and will be pursueing that angle. My car is a '98. No corrosion in the socket or at the relay. The wires behind the socket show the same voltage as the pins in the socket so the socket seems to be good.
