I recently brought this ls400 and all over it says midnight edition can't find anything specific on midnight edition has it on the rims but don't think they are factory has it on the plastic engine cover and front tag doesn't have the air ride or heated seats 141,000 miles was just woundering of someone had information and I sure the spoiler rims and front spoiler is aftermarket but don't know

Three times! No worries, I merged em. Is that front license plate the only place it says that?

I've never heard of this - I suspect somebody just made that front plate, maybe some decals (it most definitely isn't Lexus OEM, that Lexus on the plate isn't even in the Lexus font).

Looks like they painted the grill, put some red pinstriping and an aftermarket rear spoiler on and some aftermarket wheels (possibly Lexus OEM, I'm having trouble remembering the style name)

 

Enkei Raijin Wheels probably. The rear spoiler I have no idea. There is such a thing as Midnight Edition on later Lexus generations but I have never seen or heard of it on an LS 400 model. Could be someone's representation of this Edition if there was one available at the time. Or, there is actually a midnight edition, and I've never heard of it. It looks pretty good! Reminds me of the Callaway Corvette where there was the after market company that modified new corvettes of course that was quite a modification back then. This seems more like someone's tribute or dedication to the later Midnight series.

 

I was thinking someone did aftermarket stuff to it ,I was confused by the midnight edition,runs really great excellent ride everything works have 5 grand I like it alot compare to the Hyundai velstor I was driving

 

Rockstar Games has a "Midnight Club" something to do with Lexus I guess maybe has to do more with the IS300 or what's going on there with the whole midnight thing they created there but it is very interesting.

This is a later Midnight Edition.

 

But Rockstar Games is an interesting concept crossover. I am now wondering if Rockstar Games has a Midnight Edition LS400. Never know!

 

Only thing I don't like about it is the starter location

 

there was no factory "midnight edition" option that i am aware of. this was likely done by the previous owner.
wheels and spoiler are aftermarket, as well as the pinstriping, as you stated. the front lip is also aftermarket.

yea this is definitely not any kind of factory or original edition, but i like it! i'd prefer some kind of lip spoiler that doesn't have the gap between the trunk but this is a tasteful combo of mods lol... the dual pinstripes are a nice period correct touch
