Default Oil Pump's O-Ring Replacement Question

I've planned to do a timing belt job & cam/crankshaft seals replacement on my 97 LS soon. While at it, I'm thinking about replacing the oil pump's o-ring as well, however from what I've read, there's a long mounting stud for the oil pick up behind the oil pump which will interfere & prevent the pump from sliding out so the oil pan & the stud will need to be removed. Has anyone been able to remove/replace the oil pump's o-ring w/o removing the oil pan & the stud? Please let me know. Thanks.

This is a good video on the topic so it is possible. However I chose not to mess with it when I was in there doing the same job you are about to do.

I've watched the video & the gentleman had to drop the oil pan & removed the stud so I'm still not sure if it's possible. Looks like it's another poor design similar to having the starter in the valley & under the plenum/intake manifold & the alternator situated right underneath the power steering from the Lexus' engineering team
