yeh it's salts cuz on hidforums.com i saw that others had it but the chances of them having my vehicle is very slim so i decided to post here.
i turned my left capsuleit fixed it a lil... but the right, i cant so much due to how 9006's are inserted the thingys are restricting me from putting the return wire on the bottom..... i've messed with the wire on top and it's just aweful. as of now the return wire is to the side.
From a distance it's just super white, but up close u can see the line of yello on the top of the lens as well as on the ground.
In addition they said grounding is crucial.. i connected it to the battery... but i dunno if i should connect it to the chasis.
Duh, connect it to the chassie Mine had this problem but I chalked it up to the bulb needing to "change colors", or someething else silly. It was my drivers side that was OK and the right had some yellow.. Then I just pulled the bulb out and mounted it the other way. I don't know why, but the yellow went away completely. Maybe it's seeing the wire or something???
Chassie was easy, just unbolt something and bolt it back with that wire under it. Easy Breezy!
My 4100K Philips were greenish yellow as well. I finally just switched the bulbs out to 6000K Ultinons and what a world of freakin difference. Pure white with a touch of purple vs. banana yellow.

i know why you got yellow, because you got hologen projectors, instead of HID projectors.
buy some Audi a4 projectors, and retrofit it in. then get 4300k bulbs, it will be way better then 6000k.
heh thanks guys... but i am just a college student, not fortunate enough to have money comin out of my butt.. cant get 6000k capsules= ~300$... no can do.
a4's huh? well the install into the es3 head lights are a huge custom job for which i have not the tools nor the skill.... all i've done is taken the head light apart and cleaned the inside.
since it's been raining here lately i couldnt get out and play with my grounding... i'll let u guys know how it goes...
Thanks guys,

PS crazy thought but u think some one out there is crazy enough to wanna buy a 92' es3 just cause it's rare?
NRG
are you talking about mine?
Mine are blue (turning purple) in both.
It's just one of them had some yellow on the top half for the first week. I turned the bulb 60 or 120 degrees and it went away. Ya can't see it from under the car, so who knows? My question is how could one have been perfect and the other, which has the same hardware in it, not be?
oh, no biggie. It had slipped my mind he was using 4100 instead of 6K heh.
I like 6K better... And the "stress your eyes" stuff is total BS... That's why I love the early ES yellow projector fogs, give that 6K a tint of yellow
YEH thats wat i did with the left capsule.. it worked! but then tried with right but it could only turn so far......
i'm thinkin of cuttingout the top shield cuz i see all the HID projeccts only having a bottom shield...
mine looks like
/--\x/--\

\xxxxxxx/
HID

\xxxxxxx/
GOOD IDEA? appreantly the top blocks light going down.. so maybe that will work? light engineers out there?
