Hey everyone ~

Heres my story - hopefully someone can give me some insight. I have a 99gs400 with HIDS and the driver side stopped working.... Im not sure if its the bulb or what might be wrong..... I dont have any unusualy lights on the dash - saying replace bulb or anything like that. Just wondering if this indicates a broken bulb or something else. Also - i know that the 98 HID bulb is a d2s... is thats the same on the 99 GS400's? Please let me know so i can fix by baby!!!!! cant be drivin with only one head light!! And i dont want to take it to the dealer - 400+ for a new headlight and installation....ouch!!!!!

andrew, well if it's the front hid, no light will comes on on the dash board. the light only comes on for the rear bulbs. and yes, 99 is still d2r. i guess the bulbs are gone? if you want you can try to swap the two bulbs left and right and see which one lights up. that will tell you if the ballast is still ok.

however though, if you get new bulbs, you probably want to get two at the same time. otherwise the new one would be quite a bit brighter
