1995 es300 LED lowbeam bulbs conversion
Hi all, This is actually my first post as I got my es300 couple weeks ago. I thought I would share my first "mod" if you could call it that.
This is the Auxbeam S2 9006 bulbs, 72W, 8000 Lumens. It was rather cheap at $30.00. They have more expensive and brighter bulbs but since I got this car for free, and I have second car, I didn't want to spend too much money on it and also to experiment with cheap products for you all!
here are some pictures:
Box.
The Bulb. It has a built-in fan and no ballast(?) like the HIDs do. These are just straight plug-and-play.
Passenger side with LEDs, driver side with OEM halogens.
Not really a cut-off line there. I don't think these had good cut-off lines even with the halogens. I will try to re-adjust the projectors later.
I'd say pretty bright!
I had these on for about a week. I will keep you guys updated on the longevity and durability of these cheap bulbs. I would recommend these only for models that have projector-type headlights since the reflectors would be pretty blinding for oncoming drivers. I haven't had anyone flash me or flip me off for these yet, so that's always a good sign!
If you guys have some cheap products you want me to review, feel free to let me know!
