Default LED bulb load resistor quality

I just took out my turn signal bulbs on my wife's GX470. They were a booger to get out. Not that bad, but would rather not repeat the process. So, I am thinking about changing them to LED's. What I wonder is when you change to LED's you need to use a load resistor in parallel with the bulb to draw the same current as the original bulb. The LED will probably last forever, but what about the load resistor. Are the load resistors of high enough quality to last several years? Thanks, Andy

I'm using load resistors from ebay on my BMW for almost 9 years. Not even a hiccup.

you don't need to worry... they are pretty fail proof... dissipate the extra voltage in the form of excess heat... for the limited time you have the blinker on, it's not that much heat...
