Are you talking about taking an OEM HID system from a 2000 GS, and then installing it in your non-HID 1999 GS? If yes....it will be a pain in the butt.
The first problem will be the housing unit. The HID bulb base wont fit your non-HID housing....unless you plan to take the 2000 GS' housing unit too...then not so bad.
What about the auto-leveling? I hear the sensors are positioned throughout the car....front and rear bumper area? And dont for the the leveling motor....that'll be a pain too.
It'll be way simpler to just buy a 9006 HID conversion kit. Cost around $450 for Philips 6000K....cheaper for 4100K.
