Default HID Lights

Just bought a 2002 GS 300 but I couldn't get it with HID headlights. Can I buy the parts from Lexus and install the HID self leveling lights myself ? Or do I have to go with something aftermarket and if so what do you recommend ?

Thanks

not sure if you could get the hid AND self-leveling; if so, it would cost lots of $$...or you can spend ~$425-450 and get Phillips HID with no self-leveling and install the unit

You could buy the OEM parts and install them into your car for the best results, but if you go that route, I'd definitely strip the parts off a wrecked GS as opposed to purchasing them brand new from the dealership. The cheaper, easier option is to buy an HID kit. They average about $450-500 for the set, but beware of subpar kits.

the housing is the same from outside, just have some mounts for the ballasts, etc....

you can get the hid housing and stuff, but installing the autoleveling would cost you a lot, coz' it involves settin up all four wheels, etc..... that's a lot of money

i got the hid kit myself and it's looking good. 460 shipped for philips 6000k and for 4100k setup it should be around 400

um.. i meant

i was planing to upgrade my headlights to newer year's .. can i put the one that comes w/ GS430? I mean.. will they fit fine? They most likely would be HID and my car came with halogen and I installed one of those HID kits so supposedely this is halogen-lights car.. i just want to make sure i would be able to put those gs430's headlights into my car without any modifications and yes i understand that it won't have auto-leveling..
