Installed V3 Tritons today
#2
I can attest that these led lights are extremely bright and should be considered a safety upgrade. I wanted to leave more pictures here instead of starting a new thread. Sharing is caring! Awesome RC btw!
Another benefit is getting rid of the reflector bowl "yolk" that filament bulbs leave.
V3 triton installed and off.
OEM filament bulb off
V3 triton on
Oem filament bulb on
You can notice the crisp on off that the LED provides vs the filament bulb. I have tested a variety of LED bulbs and found the V3 tritons the best. Just beware that you do need some space in the rear for the heat sinks, and led controller.
To save some money...pick up an LED flasher relay instead of purchasing individual resistors. One $10.00 flasher relay will cancel hyper flash for front and rear turn signals. This will allow for no modification to the stock wiring. Flasher relay for third gen GS is located under the instrument panel. Simply put on your hazard lights and find the "clicking" relay. That would be the relay you will want to replace. Feel free to Pm if there are any questions!
Simply search for "LED flasher relay lexus/toyota"

Nice write up and thanks for posting! I still don't see the benefit of spending that much money on the V3's compared to the performance of the older high powered LED designs...maybe someday!
