Default SC300/400 license plate bulb comparison

Hello folks,

I happened to be passing by a pep boys and decided to stop in and see if anything caught my fancy. Low and behold (remembering one of my bulbs burned out), I saw some LED bulbs for my license plate bulb and wanted to see how they compare.

Bulbs being compared: Sylvania silverstar (194)(was on the car), Pilot LED (194) $8ish, and Philips T10 $14ish.

*note the pilot LED showed very blue in pictures but in actuality was white in color.
Sorry for some of the potato pictures.

Pilot LED (194) and Philips T10 in package

Pilot LED (black) and Philips (white and metalic)

Pilot LED on left and Sylvania silverstar on right

Philips LED on left and Sylvania silverstar on right

Philips LED on left and Pilot LED on right

My final choice of Philips LEDs

In accordance of what I saw from changing the bulbs around I would say the order of brightness would be: 1) Philips LED 2)Sylvania silverstar 3) Pilot LED

On another note if I wanted a legal but very suttle light to barely show my plate I would deffinately go with the pilot LEDs if you know what I mean

Hope this review helps on people deciding on bulbs.

That Phillips bulb is very bright! It's crazy how much brighter it is than the Pilot bulb.

We carry the Philips Blue Vision 194 T10 W5W LED Replacement Bulbs and they are amazingly bright. (Up to 6 times brighter than a halogen 194 bulb) They are sold as a pair and a great value for the money too.
