Question HID question

Was just wondering what the life span of the HID bulbs was, and how much it would cost to replace if one of them burned out on my LS400.

Thanks!
Tex

You might get more responses in the HID section, let me move it for you. Maybe Rominl can help you there, but I think he will be MIA for a few days.

well if treated correctly (no moisture, no grease) on the bulb or the headlgith housing, the bulbs should last like at least 6 or 7 years imo. it's very durable

Thanks for the feeback.
Just curious, do you know how much do they cost if they burn and need replacement?

Thanks,
Tex

cost depend on where you buy it, get a pair of used /new ones on ebay ~150-300. just depend on where you look, many online place carry oem replacement at 1/2 the price lexus sell for.

Hopefully, in six or seven years.....the HID bulb prices would have dropped considerably. Or is that wishful thinking. LOL

yes, like banana said, it's around 200 bucks gives and takes, not too bad.

PHML, hopefully that's the case. just need to make sure those who say xenon is "bad" they would realize how good they are, by then....
