Default UPDATE!!

This weekend while in NYC, I purchased a set of 6000k HIDs. They are made by Naxos, who are not the best lighting manufacturers, but the store that sold them to me are going to stand behind the product 100% (bulbs, ballasts, starters)I have purchased items from them before. You would not believe how many stores I went to had 60 day ballast only warranties!!! Anyway, these are the 1st generation style that have the separate ballast and starter, but I am happy with the appearance, and guess what? THEY HAVE THE GLOW!! If I could make a comparison, it would be to the new 3 series beamer with the HID kit from the factory, the only differece is, my headlight housing has more light shooting through it (which gives the housing that "ghostly" appearance!) The light output is much better, and I love the way mile markers and various road signs are now illuminated. Also, because the projector housing in my car always lightens up the color (ie, 4100k zenons look plain white), these do not have the ricey dark purple hue normally associated with 6000k, they have that factory BMW, or Audi look.

yeah but i'll bet yours doesn't change color when you go over bumps. lol. j/k. sounds nice. i tried using HID with the stock projector on first gen gs. it was a nice upgrade over halogen. but its still not as good as OEM. i think if you had a retrofit done you would be amazed.

JMAI, you got me there, they do not do the "Audi Flicker" as I call it!! But I can say that because of the projector, and the way I aimed them, they do go from broad to sharp when I hit bumps! I can see it when I pass other cars as well! Overall I am happy with the product, and OMIGOD when you turn them on!!! They start white, then go drk blue, then they settle into purple!! NNIIIIIIICCCEEEE! One of the things I like best about the kit is that it adds to the car, it does not TAKE AWAY! Some of the more ricey kits, that come with the tinted bulbs, just make the car look cheesy! Do you agree?
