the bulb inside is clear, but htere is a yellow lens in front of the bulb that makes the output yellow. you can break the lens but it's very hard (very thick glass) and also it might not produce as clear a light output

like rominl said the bulb is clear but theres a yellow lense that gives the color. you can break the lense piece but you'd have to take the light apart to get to the lense. lots of work plus may not be worth it because once youre done it doesnt look as clean because the bulb is more noticable.

you can do all that or you can find someone who can import the clear ones from japan. sometimes they sell them on ebay.

Default Yellow fog lights

Do you want to sell your yellow fog lights? I need the passenger (R) side. You can buy the xenon replacements to make them brighter and whiter.

Question Crystal Ion

I'm curious about something. We all know about the yellow lens with the white bulb in the fogs. My question is, has anyone tried or seen anyone with the PIAA "Ion" bulbs swapped for stock??? I'm wondering how much "yellower" it would look. I like the look of the stock yellow fogs on my GS4, i'm just wondering how they'd look if they were even more yellow, and just as bright.

i have never tried it but my guess is it won't be any yellower. i put in super white (which is higher wattage) in my yellow fogs and the output is brighter, but still just the same yellow. basically the yellow lens will filter out everything except the yellow, so putting the ion probably won't make any difference

Question

BTW, what is the bulb type that goes in the fog light housing?? I've seen several different references, and want to get the right one.

FYI, I broke the yellow glass in my fogs and the lights look really sharp. I put in extreme-white PIAA lights in mine and they look just fine. I will post some pics later this week to show you all....
