Question headlight Lens replacement in ES300

My 97 ES300 driver side headlight is cracked by stonechip on the highway. Dealer said the whole headlight assembly is needed to replace not just the lens. Is that true ? Can I just replace the lens ?

Is there any other places other than dealer sell the headlight assembly ?

Thanks,

Ching-Ho Cheng

i think you will have to replace the whole assembly, at least the housing (if the wiring are sold separately). talk to steve ganz (supratrd) about this

Yes, you'll need to replace the housing (the plastic module with the front lens, reflector bowls, and bulb holders). The bulbs and wiring harness are completely separate and can be reused. These assemblies do pop up on eBay (new-in-OEM box), you may want to check the web before paying full price at the parts counter.

Do you have a procedure or where the bolts/nuts/screws are when trying to take the existing one out of the car ?

Thanks,
