Do these HID conversion kits do the self-leveling?

Nope. There's like a gyroscope or something built into headlamps w/ factory HID I believe.

Pretty sure it can be built. i do believe that being able to adjust the headlamps from inside the car manually like your side mirrors is more usefull though.

VERY Nice projector headlights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

When will they be in mass production? I'm sure these are going to be in high demand

BTW,

since you went to projector, are you using D2S or D2R HIDs?

autoleveling is all about the headlight housing, nothing to do with the hid kit itself. so getting the kit has nothing to do with autoleveling. you can get the lexus hid housing with the autoleveling computer, but hooking them up will cost you a lot, coz' it involves sensors at all 4 wheels

Well after reading, getting prices and then reading again, I finally did it. I bought a set of Philips 6000K Ultinons for my 1998 ES300 for $470 shipped. Well all I can say is WOW! What a HUGE difference. I took some before and after pics. I can’t believe I put up with weak halogens for sometime now.

The only two small problems were where to finally mount the ballast and light shutdown. They get a little warm, not hot, but need a place to really secure the ballast. Lastly, with the old stock bulbs the headlights would auto shut off if on auto or on, now they do not shutoff automatically unless in auto. Weird and no big deal.

It is funny as hell when I put the high beams on. They look soooo yellow and not very bright. The new hids are purple in color and look really sweat when warming up. God, I love the lights.

So call the nut house they will need to add another person!

sorry for the wrong "folder" I can't move it. To excitied,,,,

By the way, What REALLY is the benefit of Auto Levelling, if those xenon's WITHOUT Auto-Levlling are still on the road!?

ES3- Total install time was about 35 minutes. It would have been a lot quicker but my dogs keep tring to jump on the car, lick the lights, smell every damn piece of what I am doing.

On pass side you just install. On driver side, you need to remove battery. This takes about 30 to 45 seconds. You will need a 10mm deep docket to remove the bolts. Then after battery is removed, the headlight is right there.

Thanks, a bunch, were the directions pretty self explanatory!? Also, if you had to do it all again, would you get the same kit? Or go with a higher, bluer bulb?

ES3 : The directions were not to easy becasue they were in japanese (sp?). So after looking at what I had and what I needed it is very easy to see what goes where. Philips makes a nice set that the end user can not mess up, unless you touch the bulbs!

I would go with the same bulbs next time but I would more then likely skip the warrenty issue. Everyone said to order from a "good" souce when I think it really does not matter. I am not saying order from some no name guy. but if a guy on Ebay had the same thing (original) for $390 + shipping I would do it.

Either they will work or not. The kicker is that the warrenty card is in japanese and what the hell good is it to me? None. So next time I would go a cheaper price with maybe a (1) year warrenty of 6 months.

All-in-all I love the bulbs and the color.
