Default How to make LED foglights?

How would I go about making something like this? Make a board to fit in the opening and then solder a bunch of 5mm LEDs? What would be the best way of connecting these to power? And what kind of resistors would be needed? Any input is appreciated!

it takes a lot of time and effort to wire/fabricate those LEDs.

use something like this to get http://ledcalculator.net/ to get you a idea what you need in order to wire them up right or youll burn them out or shorting there life span now as for making your going to need housing duh..we know that take them apart and make mock up built your circuit etc.. and bam led fog light now those 5mm in my opinion are ok for show i was looking to use some luxeon led for a little more output with a reflector to give out better displacement the only thing im going to have a issue with luxeon is they give out little heat so i need to built a circuit with heat sink in them to keep them cool...

u dont really need a resistor really. u have a voltage supply of 12 volts. you can connect 4 leds in a serie and u can skip the whole resistor!

no you need resistor they limited the current need to drive the led if you dont your going to burn them out now if your worry about the resistor value they sale per wire resistor to led all you have make sure that when you buy they rated for 12v and the only dowm side if your going to need to wire them in parallel and that going to take up more space.... if you dont believe just pick up any BS flash light or those cheap ebay led blub and guess what your going to see RESISTOR

u need to get a circuit board and u have two options:

1 connect 4 LED bulb in series and skip the resistor but if one of the bulb went out 4 bulbs in series will go out too

2 use 1 resistor for every led buld. a pain if u ask me. but if one of them go out, then only one of them go out.
