no problem. haha it's actually shuturmouth, but i couldn't type out the whole name when i signed up lol... ran out of character spaces at 10.

but for fogs, definitely give HIDextra a try, since it's only 55$ for an hid kit. i got my 6k lowbeams from them and im loving it.

i currently run nokya hyper yellow fogs (halogen), and their yellow is a deep golden yellow, really nice. planning to switch to hid fogs in the near future as well.

I was in the same dilemma. I went with HID's. Not thrilled about the color but the light output is much greater than halogen

Sorry to bump an old thread, but Today I installed some Putco Jet Yellow High beams and they are a deep beautiful yellow. I am now contemplating going with yellow fogs and forgetting my color matched lows and fogs. Does anyone know if Putco Jet Yellow bulbs are the best way to go for yellow fogs, or would hids be better?

Raptor, I see that you painted your calipers yellow. What route have you decided to go with your fogs now that you have the USB F-Sport?

I think you can't go wrong with either. My suggestion would be if u want to save money get the putcos. If you have the money the HID yellow color and lumen output is the best. your only worries would be gettin a quality kit.

Thanks Evil Teo. What yellow hid kit is the deepest yellow and not the dull yellow/greenish color that a lot of people have and which kit do you have laying around?
BTW, I currently have MTEC hid fogs so I would only need to replace the bulbs.

well why don't u try some of our vendors...XenonDepot,HIDExtra,Auto Design. I have the HID kit from extra but the ballast blew and I got a new one from them. I didn't install it back on because I have putco jet yellow on. too lazy to install the kit. As for the yellow from the HID, i think what u want is either putcos or u will need HID with the vinyl overlay on the fogs. Yes you would only need to replace the bulbs but if u have them on why change them? Try using the yellow overlays and see how u like the color.

here are some pictures of the HID kit from HIDExtra

I don't see any attached pictures, but it doesn't really matter. Since you have had both, what do you prefer? Since both of our cars are USB and we both like the bluer headlights, what yellow looks the best and turns the most heads?

Personally love my 3k HID's in OEM tinted yellow lenses on my IS300... wouldn't change it for anything... any higher in temperature and they start looking green almost, 3k is perfect... will get some pics someday...

personally i like the HID better because of visibility of the roads in the rain. I have 8000k low beams and the HID fogs really help in the rain. The halogen are ok but they are a little bit brighter then stock. If it were for looks the putco is probably the best looking color but for functionality HID.

I hope the chrome they use in those housings is better than my 3ES ones...

35W kit only too, and it ruined my fogs! Halogens from now on for me.
