Recently I noticed the light out indicator, on the dash, was illuminated. I checked and found my R/H high beam head lamp was out. The fuse was not blown but replaced any way. Started the car, 2000 RX-300, and the dash light indicator was out. As soon as I depressed the brake pedal to shift into gear the indicator light came on. I checked the original headlight and it was not burned out but went ahead and replaced the headlights with Sylvania Silverstars's to no avail. Again, replaced the headlights with Phillips X-treme Power bulbs to no avail.
The bulb will illuminate momentarily, maybe 1 - 2 seconds, then go out. Or, as soon as the brake is applied the dash indicator for a light out will illuminate.
Anyone have any thoughts as to where to start to locate my problem?
