How can you justify your claim that the Philips Ultinons 6000K is a "downgrade" in brightness? The stock HID uses about only 4300K illumination, comparing to the 6000K HID. I don't know where you got those info, but it's NOT true... :eek:

Well, technically it should be brighter, if we compare with the "kelvin" illumination. Personally, I feel they are the same brightness, only difference is color. My eyes can't tell the brightness difference, maybe it's just me. I mean if you're not as picky about color as me, then forget it, don't need to spend the money...

The 6000k bulbs have a higher color temperature but do not necessarily put out more light. 6000k, or 4100k (kelvin) is a measurement of color temperature. The brightness is measured in ANSI (American National Standards Institute) lumens. I know a 4100k HID has 3200 lumens - I'm not sure about the 6000k, but think it is 2800 lumens. Both are better than the ~800 lumens of halogen bulbs.
