Default LED Brake Light Replacment

I have a Lexus RX 330 2004 and the LED left rear brake light went out for the first time. I went to the dealer for replacement and was quoted $229 (ouch!!). Can I do this myself and how easy or difficult would it be? Help!

What does the $229 include? Is that for a replacement left tail light + labor? Or are you saying they're charging that much just to change the bulb (I've seen BMW charge that much to change a side marker bulb)?

You can do it yourself, but ease of difficulty depends on how handy you are, what exactly needs to be replaced, and how difficult access is to the tail light assembly on the RX.
