I was first thinking about just putting back the OEM bulbs on my car and having the dealership possibly replacing the ballast through warranty. But since i have painted my headlights (example shown below) i was thinking that maybe i should just buy a set of aftermarket ballasts (55w) and bulbs (6000k 55w) so that it would be brighter.

What do you guys think?

Also are there any pros and cons to me doing this other than me voiding my warranty?

Would the auto leveling system still work if i swap out the OEM ballast?

Would converting to 55w from 35w damage any parts?
as i know, the stock bulbs for IS350 are 35w H11 for low beam, 35w 9005 for high beam and 35w 9006 for fog beam, right????

after i check this diagram about stock hid kit for all Lexus models ...

http://www.vvme.com/page.html?chapter=5&id=55
most 55w hid kit fit to fog lights not headlights like some ES 300 IS300 ,LX470..

i suggest you insist on your stock 35w hid kit with more bright high color temperature to make your bulbs more bright...

even though 55w hid kit are more bright and generate more heat than 35w hids....there are still some issue of melting your housings or burning your bulbs...

i installed my vvme H7 digital slim hid kit 43k in my ES300 for almost one year... very bright and sharp... i remembered it is $50 shipped to my door from china with DHL in one week...very fast...
