Default Fog lights...Where do you aim them?

As the title of the thread says...Where do you aim your fog lights? I was going to install some hid's in my fog lights and was wondering where I should aim the fog light patch. I think I am going for the flood style So I would have an arc of light in front of me.

How do you aim your fog lights?

more towards the ground illuminating as little 'air' in front of you as possible. Fog lights are designed to be low so during 'foggy' conditions light doesn't get reflected off of the tiny water particles making you pretty much blinded from seeing the ground.

Mine are aimed to fill in the gap between the bumper and the headlights. I haven't tried changing it at all to see if there's a better way as I'm happy with where they are at now.

....none of those choices. Aim them straight in front of you like you would with your low beams.

I agree, with a little tilt dwon towards the ground. Ilumminating the ground as you drive is too cool. Really like a spaceship, lol!

How do you aim it? Is there an adjusting screw or do you have to open the lens and manually move it?

I never noticed a adjustment screw on my 2GS, even though I have opened up the lights a bunch of times.

Default aiming fog lights

Fogs have had a sharp cutoff even before that was an aspect of headlights. They are narrow and wide. I have always measured the physical height of the light and then set them to have the same height exactly on the wall a short distance away. Aimed like this they shine straight out and under the fog and go a long distance. They are not in the opposing traffic's eyes because they don't rise. Hit a bump or crest a hill and they shine in the other guys eyes just like your low beams do, sharp cutoff or not.

I noticed the sharp cutoff too. So I did exactly the same thing. Turned out great!

If there is a decent cutoff I should check and probably adjust mine! I have HID's in them and I knew they could be blinding at the wrong angle but I noticed a little light on the second story of an apartment building I was going past and that doesn't seem right.
